"Creative Writing and Blogging"

with Jacqui Malpass

28th April - 4th May 2012

2012 is an amazing time to be starting on your writing adventure and Chateau Ventenac is the perfect place to discover your creativity and turn your ideas into a blog that people want to read and you have fun writing.

  • How many times has someone said to you that you should write a blog?
  • How many times have you thought mmm that’s a great idea but…
    • I don’t know where to start
    • I’ve tried and it just doesn’t flow
    • Who would be interested in what I have to say?
    • I am useless with technology
    • And on and on

At Châteaux Ventenac we believe everyone can write and that journaling is the foundation to all writing. It is the place where all ideas and thoughts can be captured and reflected on. In this series of workshops we explore how to starting to journal, creating stories, transforming them into blogs and growing your following.

If you can journal, you can tell stories, if you can tell stories, you can blog and if you can blog, you can write a book. Really! Yes you can.

Writing is also a wonderful way to get your stuff out; it is cathartic, helps to release stress and ignites your creativity. You will be amazed at the stories that you find inside yourself.

Over these few days we will kick start your writing adventure. Get your pens at the ready…

The aim of these workshops is to take you on a journey where the foundation to your writing is your journal, through the planning and outline process, into the creativity phase and out onto the world wide web.

Each afternoon you will be encouraged to journal and to try out the ideas from that days workshop. Every morning we will reflect on the day before and share any aha moments.
