Take over the whole château for your holiday Château Ventenac is available for self-catering holidays by a single family or group. Our six/seven bedrooms and five bathrooms accommodate up to 14 adults and 2 children in style and comfort, and your group will have the whole house and its spacious gardens to yourselves. The newly fitted French country kitchen has everything you need, from a garlic press to a coffee grinder, as well as two dishwashers. We provide starter packs of essential supplies for our guests and there is a fully equipped laundry room in the cellar. The drawing room and upstairs sitting room have comfortable sofas, a library of books and games. The house is equipped with Sky satelite TV and wireless internet. For winter holidays, the big open fire is particularly welcoming - we keep a ready supply of logs for guests' use. Cots and high chairs are available on request, although we ask our guests to supervise small children, particularly in the outside areas. Ventenac is the ideal base from which to explore the Languedoc, and we have plenty of guidebooks and maps so you can make the most of your stay. One of the most exciting aspects of this region is its enormous variety - from the garrigues of the St Chinian trail and Route des Cathars to some of the finest sandy beaches in Europe. In the winter, you can be skiing in the Pyrenees in two hours, while in summer you have a choice of dozens of wine caves within half an hour's drive. Many of these (such as the Caveau next to the Château) offer guided tours and wine tastings. You can also go horse riding, or hire cycles and canal boats in nearby villages, and we have lots of interesting museums and historical sites - starting right outside our door with the Canal du Midi.
