Wine Tours

Chateau Ventenac is positioned amid two renowned wine regions, Minervois and Corbieres, making it an excellent base for discovering a little bit more about the wonderful wines of the Languedoc. Ventenac is ideally situated as most villages nearby have their own wine producing Cave and your holiday gite is situated just a few yards from Ventenac’s Cave Co-Operative. This wine cave is a magnificent example of heritage architecture, which shares a rich history with our Chateau. You can visit for an informal tasting next door and indeed at most wine producers in the area. Details are kept at the house.

However, if you would like to take an organised day or half day wine tour during your holiday we can arrange trips for small or large groups with English and French speaking, local Master of Wine, Juliet Bruce Jones.

Canal Boat Hire

Hire boats from our neighbouring villages - Le Somail and Homps. It is possible to hire a boat for half a day or a full day, or take a 2 hr guided trip.

Details are kept at the Chateau but if you are coming in high season you might like to ask us to pre book it for you.

Hire a Chef

Fancy a night off from cooking and prefer not to go out? Having a birthday or anniversary whilst you are staying at Chateau Ventenac holiday home?

We can arrange for a local english speaking Chef to cook you a meal to your order for you to eat out on the terrace or if its chilly in the impressive Dining Hall.
