Breakfast
is served in the French country kitchen or weather permitting
out on the balcony Just help yourself to the delicious spread
Fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, and various breads from our
local Boulangerie, with jams and spreads
Fresh fruit, yoghurts, compote
Juices, Teas or coffee
Bed and Breakfast
guests can choose a time that suits them between 8 a.m. and 9.30
a.m.
Course members usually need to have finished breakfast by 9.30
for a 10 a.m. start to their day
Teas, coffee,
juices and water are available throughout the day for course members
Lunch
Lunch is
a buffet served on the terrace whenever the weather is fine or
in the kitchen if not.
Examples
of what might be on offer include:
Various salads e.g. tomato and mozzarella, celeriac salad, Green
salads, potato salad,
couscous salad or Salade Nicoise
Home made bread, baguette and crackers
Cheeses of the region
Charcutterie
Anchovies or herring in crème fraiche
Fresh fruit
Yoghurts
Homemade ice cream
Juices, Sparkling water and local wines
Dinner
Dinner
is served in the Dining Hall (or on the Terrace in summer)
Local wines are included in the cost of your holiday
We
usually start with Homemade soup, a seasonal salad or Pate
The
main course will vary every day and could for example be:
1) Boeuff Bourguignon served with green beans and new potatoes
2) Coq au Vin served with Rice and a julienne of carrots and courgettes
3) Porc steaks with Rattatouille and Baked potatoes
4) Salmon Papillotte with Dauphnoise potatoes and asparagus
5) Spinach and Roquefort crepes with couscous
Vegetarian alternatives are always available
Desert
can be Tarte Citron, Tarte Tatin, Far Breton, Isles Flottante,
Pears cooked in wine with chocolate sauce,
Fresh fruit of the season and homemade ice creams.
A
cheese board is always available for those who still have room!!
