Day one-Thursday
Arrivals at local airports-guests can be collected by car
or make their own way to Ventenac for mid afternoon.
Relax, settle in and take a short walk around the area:
Canal-du-Midi, the village and Cave (wine co-operative)
Evening meal at the Chateau
cooked by Rachel and Jo

Day two-Friday
Cookery School Morning:
An introduction to regional ingredients and dishes,
 bread-making and French cookery techniques.

Afternoon
Join Juliet Bruce Jones for a visit to a local vineyard and taste their wines.
Return to the chateau for a blind wine tasting with Juliet and a delicious meal which we will have cooked together during the day.
Evening meal at the Chateau

Day three-Saturday
Market visit to Carcassonne
Have petit dejeuner in a café and buy local produce from the market
Lunch at the Chateau

Cookery School Afternoon
Mediterranean tapas: food for parties, picnics and friends. Create dishes from France, Spain, Greece and Italy and make our evening meal.
Evening Meal at the Chateau
Optional visit to the local bar

Day four-Sunday
Cookery School Morning
Patisserie, croissant and brioche workshop
Lunch at the Chateau
Afternoon visit to a local restaurant, le Comptoir Nature for locally produced sheep’s milk ice-cream and drinks.
You will then have the choice of a walk or cycle back to the Chateau along the delightful Canal-du-midi and return o the Chateau for our final meal
BBQ Cookery School session

Day five (Monday)
Breakfast
Departure (deliver to airports or make own way)
There is the option of staying on for additional nights
