Chateau ventenac is a perfect location for relaxing and enjoying your workshop or retreat.
The drawing room and games room have comfortable chairs and settees The house has a library of books and games and is equipped with satellite TV and wireless internet (as with all internet connections we cannot guarantee continuous service). For winter holidays, the big open fire is particularly welcoming.
The accommodation we provide is of a very high standard. All of our bedrooms are south facing, and have panoramic views down across our lovely gardens to the Canal du Midi and on to the vineyards that surround the village and the hills beyond. All linen and b towels are provided.
The first floor bedrooms are spectacularly large rooms with original features preserved where possible. They have polished oak floors and spectacular fireplaces. The rooms are traditionally decorated and furnished. All bedrooms have bedside tables, lamps, rugs, curtains at least one table or desk and chairs and a hairdryer
The Méditerranée has a period marble fireplace, king-size four-poster bed,
full-size single bed and an optional cot, a traditional double wardrobe, comfortable chairs and a dressing table. The en-suite bathroom has a traditional style claw-foot bath with shower attachment, WC, bidet, and a large traditional washbasin.
There are superb views across the vineyards of the Minervois and Corbieres towards the Pyrenees and on a clear day Mount Canigou rises majestically into view.
The Atlantique has an original decorated full-height fireplace. It is furnished with a king-size canopied bed, a full size single bed and an optional cot. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, WC and vanity unit.
The Entre Deux Mères has a traditional French double bed and a desk. The bathroom has a 'wrap-round' hydrotherapy shower cubicle.
There are excellent views across the gardens, the Canal du Midi and the vineyards towards the Pyrenees
Second Floor bedrooms are decorated in a pretty French country style and have original terracotta tile floors and exposed beams.
Paraza has a double bed and a single bed and shares a bathroom with Ginestas, which also has king sized and a single bed.
Further along the top floor landing is St Nazaire. A pretty room with king sized bed, wardrobe, desk and chair and with its own huge bathroom opposite with full bath, hydrotherapy shower and bidet.
